Celebrate World Water Day Today With Brad Paisley!

Today on World Water Day, a day to draw attention to the one out of eight people around the world who lacks access to safe drinking water, Hope Through Healing Hands (HTHH) announces The Water=Hope Campaign’s continued partnership with CMA Entertainer of the Year Brad Paisley and his H2O II: Wetter & Wilder World Tour presented by Chevy.

Hope Through Healing Hands (HTHH) is excited to partner again with the Brad Paisley’s H2O Tour in 2011 with a campaign for clean, safe water. The Water=Hope Campaign will promote awareness and advocacy for safe water, adequate sanitation, and improved hygiene, especially in low-income countries. At each U.S. show, HTHH will have a booth to distribute literature and encourage people to learn more about how they can get involved.

Prior to the show, fans will have the opportunity to text “H2O” to 25383 to donate $10 to support clean water initiatives around the globe.

With donations made last year, HTHH built three wells in Liberia, Uganda, and Ethiopia and installed water purification systems in homes lacking access to water in Appalachia. This year, we hope to build more wells and service more homes for families to have clean, safe water at home and around the world.

H2O II: Wetter & Wilder World Tour will bring back the very popular and fan favorite “Water World Plaza,” turning every city into a water festival. Focal point in the Plaza area will be the “Water World Plaza Stage” featuring emerging new stars Brent Anderson, Edens Edge and Sunny Sweeney. Special guests on the tour will be Blake Shelton and Jerrod Niemann. The tour extravaganza will open each day at 4:00pm with music starting at 5:00pm. In addition to the music stage there will be multiple water-themed activities – including a Chevy H2O FLW fishing simulator, dunking booth, slip n slide, The Water=Hope Campaign booth and more.

Brad Paisley Says Working With Alabama Was ‘Mind-Blowing’

Brad Paisley Alabama

Brad Paisley’s latest single, ‘This Is Country Music’ is still sitting pretty in the top five on the charts, but the superstar already has his mind on his follow-up single, ‘Old Alabama,’ which is just starting to hit the airwaves.

“My next single has something that’s really cool, I think, that we came up with when we were writing this new album,” he tells Buffalo, N.Y. radio station WYRK. “We were writing a song that mentions a few things and realized that the perfect bridge for the song is the bridge from ‘Mountain Music.’ And so I contacted [Alabama member] Randy Owen and asked if he wanted to write it with us, and then got those guys back together. Instead of sampling a piece of ‘Mountain Music,’ I had those guys come in the studio and record it. It was one of the most mind-blowing experiences of my life.”

The reigning CMA Entertainer of the Year admits he was more than a little starstruck when he hung out in the studio with the legendary band. “That’s the biggest group in the history of country music!” he gushes.

Brad’s H20 World Tour topped several mainstream artists in gross revenue last year, including Justin Bieber, Nickelback and Miley Cyrus. It’s a sign, he says, that more and more music fans are being drawn to the growing genre. “Country music is ever-evolving like anything,” Paisley acknowledges. “There really is this stigma attached that’s not fair, because country music has become the music of reality.”

The double ACM Award nominee will kick off his H20 II World Tour May 28 in Pittsburgh, Pa., with Jerrod Niemann and Blake Shelton as opening acts, and Darius Rucker performing on select dates. See the tour schedule here. His new album, ‘This Is Country Music,’ will be released May 24.

Brad Paisley- “Old Alabama (featuring Alabama)”

She’d rather wear a pair of cut-off jeans than a fancy evening dress
And with her windows rolled down and her hair all blown around, she’s a hot southern mess
She’ll take a beer over white wine and a campfire over candle light
And when it comes to love, oh her idea of a romantic night…

Is Listenin’ to old Alabama, driving through Tennessee
A little Dixieland Delight and the Right Time of the Night
And she can’t keep her hands off of me ye yee!

And now we’re rollin’ down an old back road
I got the steering wheel in one hand
We’ll find a hideaway where she and I can play
In Mother Nature’s band

Now we’re listenin’ to old Alabama, parked somewhere in Tennessee
A little Dixieland Delight and It Feels So Right
And It’s Love In The First Degree ye yee!

Forget about Sinatra or Coltrane, or some ol’ Righteous Brothers song
And Barry White ain’t gonna work tonight, if you really wanna turn her on
Play some back home come on music that comes from the heart
Play something with lots of feeling, ‘cause that’s where music has to start…

Now we’re listening to Old Alabama, and we’re driving through Tennessee,
A little Dixieland Delight and It Feels So Right and its Love in the First Degree

Yeah’ you know we’re listening to Old Alabama,(old Alabama) driving through Tennessee, (Tennessee)
A little Why Lady Why at The Right Time of The Night
And she can’t keep her hands off of me ye yee

Oh, play me some old Alabama,
Oh, play me some old Alabama
Won’t you play me some old Alabama,
Play me some old Alabama
Won’t you pla-ee-ay-ay
